I watched a TikTok recently of a girl that talked about a password she has between her and Jesus and she talked about He answered something big for her by sending her a sign through her “password”. I thought a lot about that video and one morning I prayed really hard about some really hard stuff I’ve been going through and how life is just so dang expensive lately and I just as letting my fleshly fears get the best of me! I didn’t ask for anything big just that He would assure me that everything would be ok. I kept thinking “purple flower” for some reason. One morning after drinking coffee and just moving slow I went to get in my truck to run to the dollar store and I literally see in the midst of all the grass and even close to the caliche there it was not one but two purple flowers! All alone and no others around! I stopped dead in my tracks, took a pic, yelled for Roel to come see, but most of all I thanked God for who He is to me! And all is going to be ok………. 🪻

Earning Friendships

Sometimes I feel like before Marc died I was very naive to “the world” as I was in my own bubble of raising my kids and being a wife. Yes I dealt with people but usually it was just other moms, my kids teachers and a few friends here but lots of friends back home! My church!

Fast forward to today…….these are some hard things I’ve learned the last five years and one was just this week!

1. As a landlord you barely have any rights and someone is allowed to live in YOUR home without paying rent or utilities and if you are lucky they will be forced out in 30 days but could be longer!
Blows my mind!

2. Social media is now more of a weapon to hurt people, businesses, reputations, etc….

3. When did we start calling the other side of the isle bad names or idiot for not voting like we do! I have read posts of my “friends” where I’ve thought to myself…..”wow do they care that I am reading this?”

4. Not all law enforcement is out there to protect! Sorry if that offends some one here and I never thought I would see it firsthand since being married to one for so long but sadly it’s so true! And it’s not the ones you would think!

5. White privilege really does exist. I may ruffle feathers on this one but since being with Roel I have seen it first hand!

6. Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian just like sitting in a garage doesn’t make you a Buick! -David Coker

7. People can’t seem to fail one time or even two or more in todays world as their are so many throwing stones and forgiveness and grace are foreign or not even taught!

And lastly……

8. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words DO HURT us…….forever!
