Ranked highly in multiple publications lists of Family Friendly beaches, Ocean city is the perfect place to spend the day with the family. Located in Cape May county this lovely area is just as beautiful today as it was 145 years ago, when it was first founded. Since its founding in 1879 alcohol has been prohibited which makes it super family friendly. Additionally smoking, va**ng, feeding the seagulls, and unsafe play are all banned on this beach. Ocean City also has lifeguards on staff from Memorial Day weekend all the way until mid-September which ensures the utmost safe conditions during peak beachgoing season. It is also important to note that beach tags are required for kids 12 and up in effect through early June and through Labor Day. Not only does Ocean city have super safe beaches the town also has tons of other activities that the entire family is sure to enjoy. There is mini golf, the boardwalk, water sports, playgrounds, and tons of charming cafes. The boardwalk specifically has rides, games, and plenty of food spots which is a great place to enjoy for a few hours. When you're looking for a dinner to feed the whole family Ocean city will not disappoint with its multitude of cuisines just waiting to be discovered.
