📚✨ A moment I’ve been dreaming about… ✨📚

The very first hardcover proof of Finding Mexico: A Baby Raccoon Adventure is officially on its way!!!❤️🥹

This story has meant so much to me from the very beginning, and because of that, I poured my heart into every page. There were so many times I wondered when it would finally be finished after months of writing, illustrating, editing, trimming, and perfecting every little detail.

Now I’ll finally get to hold the book in my hands for the very first time. If everything looks just right, the next steps will be ordering my author copies, followed by distribution. 🤍🥳

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me throughout this journey. Your kindness and support have meant more than you’ll ever know.

❗️Behind the scenes UPDATE❗️

After eight months of writing, revising, illustrating, and pouring my heart into every page, I’m almost there. 🤍

I’m about to begin the publishing phase by submitting the book for proof copies. It’s exciting (and a little surreal) to know this story is so close to finding its way into the hands of children.

As I get closer, I’ve been thinking about what Finding Mexico has always meant to me.

Yes, it’s about a journey to Mexico.

But even more than that, it’s about the journey within ourselves.

It’s about having the courage to try something new, being curious about the world, embracing what makes each of us different, and choosing kindness wherever we go. It’s about remembering those who helped shape us, lifting others up when we can, and discovering that the world becomes a little smaller when we lead with compassion.

My greatest hope is that children finish this story believing it’s okay to be exactly who they are, while staying curious enough to learn from people whose lives look different from their own.

Because no matter where we come from, what we look like, what we’re afraid of, or what gifts we each have to offer, kindness is what connects us all.

That’s the heart of Finding Mexico. 🫶
