𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲

Unseasonably warm temperatures throughout January and February have created unsafe ice conditions at Hinton’s outdoor rinks that are extremely challenging for our Parks crew keep up with.

To this end, the Town will no longer be maintaining the Pretzel, and the boarded rink at Erith Park will remain closed for the rest of the season. This will allow our crew to focus their efforts on the three other Town-maintained rinks, at Erith Park (unboarded), Kinsmen Park, and Mary Reimer Park.

If continuing to use the Pretzel, please note this is an unsupervised, unmaintained area. Please use extreme caution and use the area with respect: Clean up after yourselves, and ensure any fires are in designated fire pits and extinguished when you leave.
