Yo crew, you asked who we are, well here it is..False King's Music is an independent music label and storytelling collective.

We're not trying to be the biggest label in the world.

We're trying to be the label that somebody needed to find on the worst day of their life.

Every song we write, every album we release and every story we tell is built on one belief:

Music can help people. Stories can help people.

Sometimes all someone needs is to know they're not the only one fighting.

The world already has enough noise, division and negativity.

We can't fix everything.

But we can create music about resilience, rebellion, hope against despair, friendship and refusing to give up.

If one song helps one person through one difficult day...

We've already succeeded.

Behind the songs - BLINK

This song was inspired by one of the most powerful acts of peaceful defiance ever witnessed. On 5 June 1989, the day after the Tiananmen Square crackdown, one man carrying shopping bags stepped into the path of a column of tanks in Beijing. He had no weapon. No army behind him. Just the courage to stand there. The tanks stopped. He moved with them each time they tried to go around. For a few extraordinary moments, one ordinary person brought an entire column of military vehicles to a halt. Nobody knows who he was. Nobody knows what became of him. The world remembers him simply as Tank Man. Blink is dedicated to every person who's ever stood alone because they believed something mattered more than their own fear.

Yo crew!
Its been a few days since Rebel's Song went live on the airways, and after the collective high, I got brought back to ground zero by some dude I'd never met before. He seemed to know me though.
Walked right up and took my hand. He said "You have an obligation now son. You have an opportunity. What are you gonna do with it?"
Like who the actual f**k was dat?
Ha.
Been thinking about that myself actually.
Quite a lot, if I'm bein' honest.
You see this band was never about fame or money or corporate sponsors or record deals. It was about our stories out there.
We came from all walks of life, we all been knocked down again an' again.

But if we can help one person. Just one person, get through another bad day cos they were listenin' to our music?

Then all this was worth it.

An' so we all sat an' we talked, and we came to an agreement. Now we know what the story has be.

So, who are we? Boy we is False King's Music.
