Hi friends. I know I’ve been MIA lately. The story of why I ghosted is long. I’m sorry I fell off the social media planet for awhile. The details aren’t glamorous. But I’m trying to figure out how to share. Thank you for the messages. Thank you for your concern. Thank you for your patience. Yes, I’m ok.
Today I have some good news to share. I HIKED ANGELS LANDING at ZION NATIONAL PARK THIS WEEK, and a lot of things had to happen before this was possible.
Here are a few in case you weren’t around when these things happened:
—->Ankle Replacement Surgery
—-> Lose 100+ lbs (with the help of weight loss surgery)
—-> Set a 2021 goal and fail at it (my ankle was not ready)
—-> Set the same goal in 2022
—-> Apply for a permit
—-> Get a permit in the lottery
—-> Set realistic expectations to go as slow as it takes to complete the 5 1/2 mile extremely steep/dangerous hike!
I’m so grateful that I’m now able to do things like this. I will never forget the journey. The hike was hard but so is everything else in life that is worth it. I’ll start sharing more. Pinky promise. 👊🏻

I get my green thumb from my dad who grows the best garden ever. I stopped by for a visit and I always leave with some of his glorious bounty. Thanks Dad for sharing your amazing garden skills with those around you! There is nothing better than a fresh garden tomato!

First day of school 2021! 11th grade for Connelly, 8th for Londyn, and 5th for Creeders! So grateful for all of the amazing teachers who are influencing these kids this year! The Ulrich kids are growing up so fast! PS Oaks moves to college in two(ish) weeks!

Lake Powell is our favorite place in the whole world. This week is always our favorite week of the entire year. We spend the entire week playing hard with five other families that we are lucky to rub shoulders with. What amazing memories we will always have of these trips. I’m so grateful. Thank you to our LPF (Lake Powell Family) for always going along with the organized chaos of this trip! 40 people + one houseboat + five surf boats = pure heaven.
