NEW EPISODE ALERT! Episodes 137 & 138 of Hollywood Obsessed Podcast are now streaming, and this time host Tony Miros sits down with Canadian-born actress Melody Anderson, forever remembered by sci-fi fans as Dale Arden in the 1980 cult classic “Flash Gordon”! ⚡️

From modeling in the very first Victoria’s Secret catalog to making her TV debut on “Logan’s Run” and even popping up as a Sweathog on “Welcome Back, Kotter” alongside John Travolta, Melody’s path to Hollywood was full of surprises. But it was “Flash Gordon” that changed her life forever—and her story of how she almost didn’t get the role is pure movie magic. She recalls chaotic rewrites, scrapped scenes, and unforgettable improvisations, along with outrageous costumes—including a black wedding gown that weighed thirty-three pounds! Despite the madness, Melody fondly remembers the dazzling sets, the fun of shouting “Go, Flash, Go!” and the lifelong friendships she forged with her co-stars. She also shares her thoughts on how Queen’s legendary soundtrack helped secure the film’s place in pop culture history.

The conversation doesn’t stop in Mongo. Melody also opens up about her diverse film and television career, including adventures with Chuck Norris and Louis Gossett Jr. in “Firewalker”, heartfelt dramas like “Beverly Hills Madam”, and thrillers such as “Dead and Buried.” And in a powerful second act, she reveals how she reinvented her life after Hollywood, becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trauma specialist, and international lecturer, dedicating herself to helping families heal from the impact of addiction.

These episodes are a rollercoaster of laughs, nostalgia, and jaw-dropping behind-the-scenes stories you won’t hear anywhere else. Don’t miss this inspiring and entertaining two-part event!

New Blog Post Alert! Think back to your favorite TV shows—how many of them had an animal that completely stole the show? From loyal dogs to clever chimps, sassy monkeys to talking horses, television has always had a soft spot for its four-legged (and sometimes feathered) stars. These weren’t just sidekicks… they were scene-stealers who often outshined their human co-stars.

Tony Miros's brand-new blog post on the Hollywood Obsessed Podcast website, “Wildly Famous: TV’s Greatest Animal Stars”, takes a fun look back at the most unforgettable critters in TV history. From Lassie and Flipper to Eddie on “Frasier,” Mr. Ed the talking horse, Marcel the monkey, Arnold Ziffel the pig, and even Betty the chihuahua—these beloved companions proved that sometimes the smallest (or furriest) cast members leave the biggest pawprints on our hearts.

Future Episode Alert! Get ready, friends—because I just sat down with the trailblazing director Susan Seidelman for a very special two-part episode of Hollywood Obsessed! 🎬✨

From her gritty indie debut Smithereens, to launching Madonna’s film career in “Desperately Seeking Susan,” to giving Meryl Streep her first big comedy role in “She-Devil!,” to directing the very first episode of HBO’s iconic “Sex and the City,” Susan has always delivered bold, original, and colorful stories. And now she’s sharing her own in her brand-new memoir “Desperately Seeking Something”.

In our one-hour-plus conversation, we laughed, we reminisced, and we dug deep. Susan spoke about studying film at NYU, shooting on the gritty streets of 1980s New York, and what it was like to be one of the first female directors in Hollywood. She shared how she had a feeling about casting an unknown Madonna, what it took to redefine TV with “Sex and the City,” and her experiences working with legends like Jerry Lewis, John Malkovich, and Meryl Streep. She also opened up about what inspired her to finally tell her story in print.
