It would be exciting to see Brookwood Mall redeveloped but the 350 apartments are concerning. In Wildwood, there is a huge, new apartment complex, and now 350 additional apartments proposed right here in Homewood. If this is allowed Homewood is going to be "boxed in" with apartment complexes just like we were before apartments were bought out by Homewood on Valley Ave. Please make your opinion known to your ward counselor.

Hello, all! Thank you for the wonderful story on Homewood father-and-son artists, Charles and Chip Ghigna. It was such a fun, life- and family-affirming piece that I've decided to forgive your proofreaders for misspelling the Ghignas' surname every time it was mentioned. 😉 All in all, I greatly enjoy "The Homewood Star" and appreciate its staff's commitment to journalistic excellence. Take care!
