I never understood why the little mermaid wanted to escape to the human world, do you? 🤔

I’m also under the water keeping clear of the hurricanes that keep bashing our beloved Hawaiian Islands! 🌀 😂 🏝️

Many thx to the talented crew at Submerge for my once in a lifetime experience learning how to be deep underwater sans regulator. What an experience it was! 🔱

The second interview with my brother Ted Cheeseman of Happywhale is out! 🎉

My first interview with him was created 2.5 years ago. I figured it was time to create an updated video with all the progress Happywhale has achieved in the last years.

In this interview, Ted shares an update about the important work Happywhale is doing tracking whales around the world, how successful it’s been in aiding whale science and inspiring stories infused from a lifetime of being a whale watcher.

Other topics include: Ted's spiritual connection to whale: I always love to infuse spirituality into a topic and although Ted is a scientist, it is truly his love for whales and his love of nature (which our beloved parents taught us) that fuels his work.

Stories: Ted shares inspiring stories to give much needed hope for the state of the world, the ocean and the incredible cetaceans we call whales.

In big sister style, I thought I would get creative and wove in some childhood and family photos. I thought some of you would get a kick of seeing younger kid photos of us. (Yes, there was a time when I towered over Ted, but that day rapidly vanished when he hit the age of 13. Since then, I have needed binoculars to see the top of his head! 🤣)

Words cannot express how PROUD I am of Ted for his success with Happywhale!

Posing in a cave 40 ft down in the depths below the ocean took great courage & truly pushed me past my comfort zone‼️

Scuba diving down, removing the regulator, trusting the safety diver team at Submerge & Turquoise Divers to tend to me. This was a huge accomplishment and one that reminded that I can do whatever I put my mind to, as long as I am dedicated to the goal at hand. 🙌🏽

I remind myself this constantly when I am faced with another scary thing, like the non stop storms & hurricanes that have been effecting our beloved Hawaiian Islands the last two months. 🌀
