For this week's reflection on our favorite stories from 2025, Associate Editor Darlene looks back on her profile on Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel Director of Rooms Kimberly Gomes from our Fall 2025 issue of 𝘏𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘪ʻ𝘪 𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺.

"It was the first bylined piece I worked on after starting at TMH last September," Darlene shares. "Many of my family members and friends work in the hospitality industry and they share the same service-oriented work ethic that Kimberly spoke about in our interview. I enjoyed meeting her at the hotel, learning more about her 'calm, solutions-oriented mindset' and taking photos of the hotel's cool details."
