HWY 70 - GARLAND/SALINE COUNTY LINE (from a few days ago)

This crash killed a TX man that had his car parked on the shoulder of the highway. He was standing outside of the vehicle at the time of the collision.

Another vehicle had parked behind the vehicle that parked on the shoulder. A third vehicle sideswiped the second car that parked and rear ended the car of the man that was killed.

Request from shelter worker Jojo, all was lost. Animals running loose and no way to contain. Bring donations to Maumelle Animal Services, 425 Hyman Drive (for now) and we can distribute from there.

Just so everyone knows, there was a bomb threat at Bryant Middle school today. They have evacuated both Middle and Elementary schools. All Kids are safe at this time. My daughter is in 2nd grade there so I am very aware of the situation, and greatly concerned as most of you probably are as well.

If you don't already know you should add every news outlet, city FB page, etc., because they are all over it.

I would like to let everyone know that SalCo Arkansas 911 news will TYPICALLY not report on these type of events involving school matters, bomb threats, guns, etc.

There are many reasons why we choose not to do this and appreciate your understanding!!

Prayers for all safety and hopes it was just a false alarm!

Well I had planned to be in the field this morning, but my internet is down at my house and I have a service tech scheduled this morning.

I am going to start trying out a regular schedule in hopes of bringing you all some consistency instead of random posts. Even though those will still continue. :)

I will start out in the field and reporting Monday/Wednesday mornings from 7-9 and Tuesday/ Wednesday afternoons from 4-6. This will hopefully allow me to cover a good portion of the rush hour and we will see how it goes!!

Over the past hour, this area has received a lot of rain causing roadways to be underwater. Please avoid the area of Sprighill at Hilltop and Northlake area due to high water over the road. Remember turn around don't drown.
