🌤 Arkansas Weather Outlook
Here’s what we’re watching as we head into the next couple of weeks across Arkansas and the Mid-South:
🌀 Big Picture Pattern
The weather pattern stays active and fast-moving. Upper-level heights trend near to below normal across most of the country, keeping the atmosphere unsettled. Things have shifted a bit east compared to yesterday, which means a more progressive setup for us here in Arkansas.
🌡 Temperatures
Much of the U.S. is leaning colder than normal, and Arkansas is included in that trend.
The trough moves into our region a little earlier than expected, so instead of a warm-up, we’re now looking at near to below-normal temperatures through week-2.
The warmest anomalies stay locked out West, mainly in California.
🌧 Rain & Storm Chances
An active storm track sets up across the central U.S., and that includes Arkansas.
We’ve got higher chances for above-normal precipitation, thanks to several waves moving out of the Rockies and across the Plains.
Early in the period, a system may develop near the Great Lakes and Northeast, and later on, we could see another round of low-pressure development over the central U.S., which could bring more rain or storms our way.
📍 What This Means for Arkansas
âś” Cooler than normal overall
âś” A more active pattern with several rain chances
âś” No long, warm stretch showing up yet
âś” Watching potential systems closely as they move through the Plains
This outlook comes from a blend of guidance from the GFS, European, and Canadian ensembles.
