What does a Social Media Intern do?
The primary function of a Social Media Intern is to ensure our customers have the latest information about our brands. A Social Media Intern is an important part of an organization’s digital marketing team. The intern helps the company to identify, conceptualize, design and execute campaigns to boost engagement, educate and inform your audience about products and services and company programs.
A Social Media Intern will help create content calendars, develop and distribute text and video-based content, monitor social media channels and support promotional and marketing efforts.
Social Media Intern duties and responsibilities:
Social Media Interns support the company to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue. The duties and responsibilities of a Social Media Intern include:
- Assist with the design and ex*****on of social media campaigns
- Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
- Support marketing team at live and online events
Social Media Intern skills and qualifications:
- Associates degree in digital communications or related field such as Communications, Marketing, Media Production, Graphic Design, or Journalism
- Experience using Canva and the ability to show examples of work.
- Impeccable oral and written communication skills
- Experience with the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
- Knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, and Instagram
- Insights to track audience engagement and campaign performance
*Internships are approximately 3 months long and may vary. Each intern that completes the internship will exit with a letter of recommendation and a recommendation on LinkedIn from the Owner of Victor Media Productions.
