As a gay Arab in Berlin, I am heartbroken by what happened at Berlin Pride.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy, and to the q***r community in Berlin and around the world.

We deserve safety. We deserve stronger protection.

Believe in whatever makes you kinder, stronger, and more whole. 

Faith is your right. Taking away somebody else’s rights is not.

Thank you all so much for the incredible response to the video I posted about my 2020 experience. A lot of you reached out with your own stories.

But the truth is, a video can only capture so much. I couldn't fit the real, raw internal chaos, the neurodivergence, the lockdown isolation, the moment I saw Beirut on the gym monitors in the video.

I fought so hard to be closer to him.

And for a while, it felt like nothing could stop us.

Lost baggage.
Flight delays.
Even a stolen wallet.

None of it mattered.

Until one trip, US border control stopped me for six hours… and I kept thinking:

This is the end.

Love, Broken Dreams and a Little Chaos is a short memoir following me in 2019 as I tried to do the impossible for love, dreams, and freedom.

I did it all for love.
It was impossible, but that didn’t stop me.

I crossed countries, changed plans, rebuilt my life, and kept choosing the dream even when life kept making it harder.

And just when I thought I had finally made it...
the storm hit harder than anything I've known.

I'm finally working on the extended version of Love, Broken Dreams And A Little Chaos.
