TMI Athletics is thrilled to announce the newest member of Panther Nation! Please join us in welcoming Harmony Schwethelm as our new Softball Head Coach.
In addition to coaching softball, Harmony will join our Strength & Conditioning staff, working with JP Echeverria. Her expertise in speed, agility, strength, and power training will greatly benefit all TMI student-athletes.
With over 20 years of experience, Harmony is a dynamic leader in sports performance. She takes a holistic, individualized approach to training, emphasizing the mental and emotional aspects of sports and the brain-body connection.
Harmony has worked with hundreds of softball athletes, honing their game. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes energy, speed, competitiveness, and 100% effort. She spent five years coaching with the Texas Bombers before launching her own training business.
As an NASM-certified trainer, Harmony specializes in speed, agility, quickness, strength, and power training. Her passion and expertise make her a trusted mentor dedicated to athlete development both on and off the field.
Harmony excelled as a multi-sport athlete at Smithson Valley High School, leading the Rangers to their first State Championship in 2001. She earned All-District and All-State honors and set UIL records for base hits and stolen bases.
At Baylor University, she broke multiple records and earned accolades like NFCA All-American and NSCA Athlete of the Year. She holds two Baylor degrees: a B.S. in Health Science Studies and an M.S. in Sports Management.
Drafted by the NPF Philadelphia Force in 2006, Harmony competed for four years on the PFX Tour. She later worked in corporate sponsorships with Spurs Sports & Entertainment and signed with the Texas Charge in 2017 before retiring.
When she’s not coaching, Harmony enjoys time with her kids, Phoenix and Griffin, and her dogs, Roque and Gus.
TMI Athletic Director Peter Casey said, “We’re excited to welcome Coach Harmony. Her experience, energy, and passion will have a tremendous impact on our softball program, Strength & Conditioning initiatives, and all student-athletes.”
