How did I know he was the one?

Once upon a time, before we were official, I became really ill. I shared what I was going through with a few people, and basically, they told me, "I hope you feel better.” 😔 But when I told him, he grew concerned and began to check on me constantly.

Finally, when I was no longer contagious, he surprised me by booking a flight to see me. This was our first time seeing each other in over 20+ years. I was shocked that he cared that much.

This was the first of many times he's been intentional regarding me/us. Everything he has said he'll do, he's does. From long-distance to even now.

I've never experienced a real partnership like this before, and now God has allowed me this opportunity with such an amazing man.

He 👏🏾 doesn't 👏🏾 play 👏🏾 about 👏🏾 his A.P.

I knew he was the one from that first flight out to see me. But of course, I had to play it cool. I'm a thug. 😆 God blessed us to reconnect, and I'm extremely grateful.

And yes, although we met years ago, we're still having to learn to the new versions of ourselves. Yes, we disagree on a few things, but we also discuss and move on.

I love him with my everything. Plus, he doesn't mind matching clothes with me. 😁
