Y’all! I’ve had a week of introspection and saw things I didn’t like. I enjoyed lunch with one of my best girlfriends and shared a couple of insights. I really think that introspection was “simply” Him fixing me. It wasn’t me creating a scenario. It was revelation that didn’t result in self-flagellation - although I really could’ve ripped my back with iron whips. It was what it was. Just matter of fact. No need to cry about it. Just acknowledge it, accept it as part of my history and behave differently. Then today! O. M. G. I’m reading The Light We Carry and an old wound was opened. I was like “What is this and why has this returned?!” My guess is bc I hadn’t s appropriately dealt with it previously but this time….I didn’t deal with it alone.

I expect a pop quiz or five to prove the fix is real and that I’m a better person. I’m excited about what He’s doing in me. I’m sooooo very thankful for the personal relationship with Him. I’m becoming better!

Life is about relationship - with ourselves and others - IMHO. In the four years since the 2019 pic the smiles mean something different. In 2019, our brother and his family were at with his daughter/our niece. The 2019 smiles were completely celebratory as we celebrated our mother’s birthday weekend. The 2023 smiles were celebratory with an asterisk. Rarely do I disagree with but on ?”forcing” siblings to be close, I disagree with her. It. Is. Worthwhile. We were all so different although we 3 hilariously ?mimic many mannerisms. I’m sooooo thankful our mother made us the friends God chose. Growing up we were forced to be close. Our mother said “if you can’t play with each other, you won’t play with anyone else.” And since early adulthood We. Appreciate and Love. Each. Other.

We have inconvenienced ourselves for the sake of each other partly bc we care so much about each other that we will not abuse the love of .

One final thank you to everyone for the birthday and wishes. For reasons beyond the purpose of this post, my birthday weekend was epic. Thankful for my girlfriends who continue to shower me with love. Grateful beyond words for the selfless love of my family.
