If you noticed the recent name change on this page, here is the reason: I am officially building a new interactive online radio station, X-Factor Radio!

Here is what you can expect from the music:

The Foundation:
Classic 1980 to 2000 alternative inspired by the golden eras of stations like KROQ, 91X, Live 105, and Q101.

The Filter:
We are keeping the format focused: no grunge, no nu metal, and steering clear of most pop punk.

The Core Sound:
• New Wave
• Post-Punk
• Goth
• Industrial
• Britpop

Current Status:
The station is currently running in test mode to dial in the playlist rotation and artist separation rules. It is 100% music right now: no station imaging, no sponsors, and no DJs yet.
All of that is coming soon. Thanks for sticking around, and stay tuned for updates!

X-Factor Radio — Alternative to What? The new station website is coming soon.

Not fully working but coding some stuff tonight. Working on the X-Factor Radio website. Should be a lot of neat stuff on the site with a long lost feel pre web. :)

I am up to no good.
DYNAMIC DATABASE REBALANCING RULE: Every song must belong to exactly ONE isolated category (Fringe, Power Gold, Secondary Gold, Industrial, or New Wave Imports). When generating or refining any music library, you must audit all previously created lists to ensure maximum sonic accuracy.
1. THE AUDIT: If an existing song would fit better in the newly discussed category, you must explicitly declare that you are moving it.
2. THE ISOLATION: The moved song must be completely scrubzed from its old list to prevent duplicate database files.
3. THE BACKFILL: You must immediately generate a unique "backfill track" of matching tempo to replace the moved song in its original list, keeping all category totals strictly unchanged.
Every final output must remain a pristine, zero-overlap dataset.
