From Foster Care To The NFL!

Nick Bell had a troubling childhood! At one point, his mother was arrested and his sister dropped him and his brother off at the police station! From there he ended up in foster care for over a year until his mom got out of jail. Despite all that, Nick started playing football in highschool as an escape from his troubling life. He went on to play at Iowa and was eventually drafted in 1991 to the Raiders!

Nick Bell had an incredibly difficult childhood. He went from foster home to foster home, and dealt with his parents erratic life style. His mom was in and out of prison, and Nick didn't really know his father. Nick recalls one of the worst memories of his life where his dad was assaulting his mom and Nick nearly ended one of their lives. At just 7 years old, he was forced to live this traumatic life.
