Coaches & instructors please I cannot stress this enough.. MAKE BASEBALL FUN. Whether it’s lessons or practice, find ways to make the time spent in the cages or on the field both beneficial and entertaining for the athletes. Create competition. Create a drive in the athletes to want to push themselves to show up on a everyday basis.

Another great day of camps at DBats the Woodlands TX. Here’s a clip just trying to wake everyone up before we start getting after it! These athletes both baseball and softball players stay motivated and show up from 9am-2pm daily! These kids tell me everyday just how excited they are to be coming to camps all summer long! Most of them even stay after to hit in the automatic cages and schedule lessons with myself or one of the many other instructors. With over 30 athletes at these camps each day, I can say baseball is not just America’s favorite past time, but it’s got such a bright future.

I will be helping run all camps (9am-2pm) this week Tuesday-Friday up at DBATS the woodlands. Today we had over 30 young baseball/softball players ages 6-10. There are 3 other instructors helping out to help get these kids the most out of their time! Please contact DBats and come join us!

Young guys or hitters struggling with making consistent contact.

Please video yourself swinging. Most hitters I’ve seen lately who have been asking for advice on making consistent contact have had the same issue. Video yourself and watch you head movement from when you get set in the box to when you make contact with the baseball. To many guys have came in with head constantly movement. Both vertically (north-south) & horizontally (east-west). This is not good and makes it 1000% harder to make consistent contact.
