Don’t get me wrong, I like beating the bank for resident bass in the little modified bass boat but, when it’s bright and the water is hot, the best chances to land quality fish is in the deep. Amongst the little ones chasing baitfish.
Equipment is everything.
In this video, I’m using a Bass Pro Shops 16’ deep diving crankbait(shad pattern) in twenty foot of water. A Halo Fishing Rods Crankin’ Series II glass rod.
The reel is a Daiwa Zillion 7.3 with 10 # Sunline Sniper fluorocarbon.

Ain’t gonna lie. It’s gettin’ really hot 🥵here in Houston.
You try to protect your skin from the extreme UV’s, but at the same time, your skin can’t breathe and cool off because of all the garb. It’s like a compounded lose-lose situation☠️
Such a challenge just to get out and test the cameras.

Personal report:
Added a drag clicker to the Daiwa P/F 103 reel.
Took it out to run it with the 7’11 flipping stick, Sufix 30lb braid to 20lb Ande’s Mono on FG.
The kit performs well and held up to the 10 hr abuse into the night.
Thank you Dustin for the rod repair.
