"What Hosting Marketing for The Culture Meant to Me"

For back to back years, I wanted to be a part of the Marketing for The Culture Summit.💯 This is for someone who thinks they missed their chance or that because they've been in a certain season of their life- opportunities can't come back around. 🎯

First, I want to say that I generally don't condone (the Fear of Missing Out)- I have an entire YouTube series called F FOMO: The Presence Series. I mean every word. You can be a Marketer, Business Developer, Relationship Builder and . You don't have to be all over the place and can choose rooms most purposed for and aligned with you.
.. Which is exactly why I experienced FOMO watching Marketing For The Culture Summit on the LinkedIn streets year after year. 🙈LOL How much more aligned could it get for a Storyteller like me? I carry in my .😉

Three years ago, I expressed interest to the Founder of AAMA and told her I hope she keeps it in Houston (it started in Atlanta)! Two years ago, Michelle was in my DMs literally REMINDING me of the opportunity to be a speaker or a host and that it was indeed in Houston again. I responded with my typical signature, professional proclamation: YAAAY!!!! 🎉

I would not miss. Couldn't wait to be in the room. Was excited for the opportunity to share my mutual passion for Marketing on one of the most innovative stages to do so!

I missed. And I remember being embarrassed to tell her that I missed the deadline to get all my application submissions in for the summit.
It's a bit much to tell people sometimes how much you're balancing as a . I was balancing a LOT with my little one, still am! Life is a balancing act.🧘🏾‍♀️

✨Trust your process, trust your time- don't rush it.✨

My daughter gave me a thumbs up brushing her teeth and washing her face by herself as I was preparing to leave for the summit 2 weeks ago, my hubby shooed me away removing her bonnet to let me know he remembered the instructions and they've got this. "Don't be late!!" 😊

It was everything. I didn't just host and emcee🎤, I was in the audience LISTENING to every single presentation, panel, talk, screenshotting powerpoints and statistics.🙋🏾‍♀️

I just launched an agency that has a specific focus on , , and strategic that equips and alike to showcase their secret sauce and Position themselves to Pivot!

The data and research affirmed my why.
No matter how confident you are, no matter how much experience you've had, how much you believe in who you are and what you do....
We ALL need to be sometimes. The speakers did this so eloquently, with so much DATA, conviction, relatability and creativity. "Data Driven Decisions Only" was a name but as Speaker Kristal Howard coined it, "This was truly a MOMENT!"
