This month’s AP Point of View features the high-energy Carolina Chickadees, zipping through our trees like nature’s little comedians.

These cavity nesters, love cozy tree hollows and nest boxes-and if you’re lucky, one might just turn your birdhouse into a mossy Airbnb. 🌱

Resident Sam Toscano captured their antics beautifully - whether they’re dive-bombing feeders or peeking out at you with curiosity.

Photography tip? Set your camera to 1/2000 shutter speed, pre-focus on a perch, and brace yourself. These fluffballs don’t sit still for long!

Next time you're in the yard, pause and enjoy the show - our smallest neighbors may just be the most entertaining.

From the streets of Augusta Pines to the boardroom - Max Linden’s journey is rooted in integrity. 👔✨

As the founder of Media Payments Group, Max helps businesses streamline secure payment systems with one goal in mind:
Serve with trust. Lead with connection. 🤝

Those same values? He learned them growing up in this neighborhood - where knowing your neighbors wasn’t optional; it was natural. 💗

Max still lives and works here, giving back through community sponsorships, Augusta Pines BNI, and philanthropy with organizations like the Navy Legacy Foundation.

“I want to help continue the tradition for the next generation,” Max says. And he’s doing just that - every day. 💬

Some pets just choose you. ✨

That’s exactly how Phoebe entered the Hausner family’s life - waiting patiently outside a classroom door.

Reading specialist Erin planned to foster her for the weekend. But by Monday, Phoebe had claimed a spot in the family’s hearts - and on Erin’s office floor. 🐾🐈‍⬛

Fifteen years later, Phoebe still rules the house. Her hobbies?

☀️ Napping in sunlight
🚪 Blocking doorways (especially when dogs want to pass)
🍬 Never missing a treat

She may be slower now, but her sass is alive and well.

Have a pet who’s part of your story? We’d love to feature them.

What do Christmas in New York, TCU football, and a rescue pup named R***r have in common?

They’re all part of the Linden family traditions - and why life in Augusta Pines means more than just a mailing address for Max Linden. 🎄🏈

Every December, the Lindens pack almost-empty suitcases and explore a new city - buying Christmas gifts for one another after they arrive. It’s less about stuff and more about shared memories.

Closer to home, Max finds joy in Sunday services, spontaneous golf games, and dog walks with R***r, his son and best friend. 🏌️🐶

Max’s life is a blend of past and present - one foot in his childhood streets, the other in service and leadership through his business, Media Payments Group.

When her own mother suffered elder exploitation, Barbara didn’t just step in - she stepped up.

Today, she helps families in Augusta Pines and beyond navigate the overwhelming world of elder care with clarity, compassion, and clinical expertise.

From hospital discharges to medication management and fraud prevention, Barbara ensures that no family faces this journey alone. ✨

“You don’t know what you don’t know,” she says. “That’s why advocacy matters.” 💬

Some stories stay with you; resident Ruben Silva’s heartfelt reflections on home do just that. 🏡

This touching piece, In My Father’s House, takes us through layered tales - from a little boy riding a hot train with hope in his heart, to an elderly woman offering comfort in the face of grief.

The common thread? Home isn’t just a place. It’s love. It’s safety. It’s knowing we’re headed somewhere we’re meant to be. 💬

Ruben’s wisdom and warmth invite us to reflect on our own stories, our families, and the faith that guides us through life’s seasons.

“I’m shaping you down here, so you’ll fit in up there.” ❤️

That’s exactly what happened when resident author Tonya Sharp Hyche met fellow member Thuy Rocque on the golf course.

After reading Tonya’s novel Data Bank, Thuy invited her to speak at her book club in Huntsville, Utah - sparking a weekend of golf, literary discussion, and meaningful connections. 🤝

Data Bank blends suspense, heart, and a sharp eye for what lies beneath the surface. It’s been making waves in book clubs near and far - and Tonya’s journey as both golfer and storyteller continues to grow with every chapter. 📖
