We use a hybrid digital / analog setup with the best of both worlds. We can mix in the box but still get all the nice warmth and saturation from transformer circuits. with the help of my crooked hand writing and a photo , we can recall all mixes.

980 Lbs or 445 Kilo of acoustic panels. This really made the room sound amazing. Mixes now translates well.

Finding the sweet spot in the room took a couple of days of trial and error including the “bass Hunter” technique. After the sweet spot was chosen the measurements started. We used the free software called REW to create room impulse responses. With the data from REW we chose where the speakers where to be placed.
Next step acoustic treatment.

First step in transforming this room in to a mix room was to replace the floor. Vinyl flooring has similar acoustic characteristics as hardwood floors but for a much better price point.
