Quick Insurance Tip!

Whenever you receive any sort of traffic violation and/or speeding ticket, it is very important that you complete a defensive driving course.

Other than filing claims on your insurance, paying off tickets but not completing defensive driving will kill your insurance rates. I cannot stress enough how important it is to take care of this. Claims and tickets will stay on your insurance record for 5 YEARS if you do not get them off of your record!

Check your Auto coverage!

Low rates are always what we are wanting, right? Of course, but not at the expense of sacrificing important coverage. Similar to a credit score, there is something called an "Insurance Score."

Many factors go into this, but an important one that nobody is talking about is LIABILITY LIMITS. The first thing people will tell you is that "you have full coverage," but do they really explain to you what that means? Lower liability limits with "full coverage" will win your rates over in the short-run; however, will lose every time in the long-run.

Carrying higher liability limits you carry will provide you a better insurance score. Companies will compete to earn your business due to always carrying higher coverage, no claims, and no tickets.

Long story short, if your current agent hasn't taken the time to explain the difference, then give me a call and I will help you look over your current policy.

Wanted to send a quick tip regarding home insurance! There are a million factors that determine your price, but there's one in particular that we don't have much time to take advantage of; AGE.

Insurance premiums are calculated by a long equation of variables, one being AGE as I mentioned above. Example... if your home was built in 2000, then 2019-2000=19 years old. A couple of weeks from now, in 2020, the home will be 2020-2000=20 years old. Just that 1 year difference will increase your premium so NOW is the time to lock a lower price before 2020 gets here.
