Texas public schools are struggling. Funding is spread thin, districts can barely function, and SO MANY schools are shutting down.

Texas kids deserve opportunities to get ahead without needing a private education that isn’t accessible to ALL.

I asked Rep. Gina Hinojosa about her plan for women reproductive rights and saving them from this Handmaid tales route.

As of 2026, Texas maintains one of the most restrictive environments for reproductive rights in the United States, with a near-total abortion ban in effect since July 2022 that includes only very limited exceptions.

If you look into Gina’s story, who is very passionate about her faith, she believes that women should still have the option to have a choice.

It is not the state and especially politician MEN to make these choices.

How has being a Texan impacted the way you view life? And why is Texan pride like nothing else? I asked Gina Hinojosa , candidate for governor of Texas. She grew up in Brownsville, on the border, going back and forth to Matamoros as a little girl. She saw poverty on one side and asked her dad why it was different back home. His answer stuck with her: in Texas, we have a strong middle class. Not just rich and poor, something in between. That’s the American dream. Her understanding of being Texan was that we could achieve anything, and that should still be the promise of Texas. We’re a world economic powerhouse, and the people built that power. We should all get to live and thrive here. And that energy for change you’re feeling across the state? It’s real. Let’s vote. Let’s win this.

I sat down with (the Democratic nominee for Governor of ). **We filmed this BEFORE the tragedy this past week.**

I brought her a question straight from you guys about her plans on immigration and her thoughts on immigration/the border in Texas.
�The part I can’t stop thinking about is at the end when she says “follow the money.”
�These detention centers are run by private PRISON companies. They make money off every single person they detain. They make money of traumatizing OUR who for the most part HAVE not hurt anyone.
�And these kids should be in school having a childhood …but instead are locked up in , and a very evil group of people is profiting off of this….
