MCTXSheriff Can Confirm Colby Richards has been Found Safe

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office can confirm that Colby Richards has been found safe walking in the area of Research Forest and Kuykendahl, The Woodlands. Mr. Richards is being evaluated by MCHD medics and a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Mental Health Unit.

Detectives will eventually speak with Colby Richards about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance; however, it will be some time before he is interviewed.

Thank you to our community, Montgomery County Search and Rescue, DPS, and all the volunteers who aided in the search for Mr. Richards.

It is with great sadness that we announce Ellott James Soeder has passed away on May 16, 2023 and went to be with the Lord.

Elliott contributed a lot of photography and articles to The Woodlands Journal over the years, and attended concerts and events capturing the moment so we could all see what was going on.

Elliott had a great sense of humor and a way of making people laugh and lighten up. If you knew him and want to learn more about funeral arrangements, please check his personal Facebook account where his parents are managing details and providing information.

Please feel free to share any pictures or memories you have of Elliott below as a memorial, if you were lucky enough to have known him.

You'll be missed, and thank you for all you shared with The Woodlands Journal over the years through your photography and friendship.

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a regular meeting on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. The Board discussed a variety of topics including the drought management plan, the contract for design and construction of The Woodlands Fire Department facilities and the 2023 Employee Compensation and Classification Study.

The Board honored the legacy of Michael Richmond, a longtime real estate development and banking executive in the community who passed in December 2022.

The Good family was driving along at the intersection of 242 and 1488 in last Sunday when their daughter noticed there was a deer on top of the fake statue deer. Dad's reaction is priceless. 🤣
