The National Show Bands Network is in no way, shape, form, or fashion affiliated with the National Show Bands Association. The National Show Bands Network's intent, contrary to the belief of some, was also not made to bring negativity to our beloved band programs. The NSBN's purpose is to bring comprehensive 24/7 Show Band coverage in an ESPN-type format! If Skate Cam is viewed as "bringing negativity" to our programs let me know! If you view ESPN, they have different segments such as top 10, not top 10, etc... and Skate Cam was one of the things I came up with as a segment. I understand there are some who are talking down, and some who think we are copying their mission, but they are sadly mistaken. Stay tuned and March On!!!

The NSBN needs your help!!! Send in submissions for "Skate Cam" "Not Top 10" and "Top 10"!!! Top 10 will be comprised of a mixture of best individual submissions, best overall band clips (snippets), fanfares, fieldshows (snippets) etc... "Not Top 10" will be comprised of bloopers, missed notes, overall bad clips (snippets), basically the opposite of the Top 10! Individual submissions are a gold mine on the "Not Top 10" because no one will submit themselves and these moments can only be recorded and sent externally! Skate cam has spoken and will speak for itself! This is only the beginning! Stay posted and spread the word!

From the Southern University Marching Band: The Inaugural BoomBox Classic Battle of the Bands will take place on October 24, 2014, at 7:00 PM at the AAC on the campus of JSU....Please buy tickets early as possible as Nathan B. Haymer, Director of Bands at Southern University, is in negotiations with JSU officials to move the event to Jackson Memorial Stadium. The AAC holds 7,000 people. If we can sell this event out early, it will justify them moving it to the stadium. Tickets will go on sale Thursday online. The website will be released at that time. Bandheads, you have been waiting for this.......let's sell out ASAP so we can get a better venue! Tickets will be $12 and 15 in advance and $20 and 25 at the door. There will be VIP seating at a higher price..stayed tuned for more details!
