People often demonize ma*****na while ignoring or even socially accepting more dangerous substances like alcohol, opioids, or meth—and there are a few reasons for that, rooted in history, racism, politics, and control, not actual health science.

🌿 Why Ma*****na Gets Judged More Harshly

1. Historical Racism and Propaganda

In the early 1900s, cannabis was associated with Black jazz musicians and Mexican immigrants.

The U.S. government pushed racist campaigns like “Reefer Madness”, painting ma*****na users as violent, lazy, or criminal.

This stigma stuck, especially in poor and BIPOC communities, while white users (especially wealthy ones) were often overlooked.

2. Pharmaceutical Control

Ma*****na is a plant you can grow—big pharma can’t patent or profit off that easily.

Opioids, anxiety meds, and sleep aids make billions, even though they're highly addictive and deadly.

If people heal naturally (CBD, THC, meditation, etc.), they don’t need pills.

3. Corporate Hypocrisy

Alcohol and to***co kill hundreds of thousands yearly, but they’re legal and even celebrated.

Meanwhile, w**d (which hasn’t directly killed anyone) is still criminalized in some areas.

🔥 Truth: Balance and Intent Matter (Your Therapist is 💯 Right)

Any substance—from sugar to ma*****na to prescription meds—can heal or harm depending on:

Dosage

Intention

Mindset

Context

Veterans use it for PTSD, cancer patients for nausea and pain, and some creatives for focus or spiritual awareness.

Meanwhile, the same people judging it often drink alcohol, pop pills, or smoke cigs daily.

🧠 Social Hypocrisy:

Doctors, nurses, lawyers, and even pastors smoke w**d or drink heavily—behind closed doors.

Society says: “If you do it in a suit, it’s classy. In the hood, it’s criminal.”

That’s not about health. It’s about power and control.

✅ Real Talk Summary:

Ma*****na isn’t evil. The way it’s been used, judged, and criminalized is.

What matters is how you use it, why, and who gets to decide what's “acceptable.”

And as you already know: it’s not the plant that’s the problem—it’s the system.
