What an incredible weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, as the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo Legacy Series wrapped up with outstanding performances from some of the best cowboys and cowgirls in the sport!

From blazing-fast runs and powerful rides to exciting youth events, every contestant left it all in the arena. Congratulations to all of our event winners and to every competitor who represented the spirit, grit, and rich heritage of Black rodeo.

Congratulations to the 2026 Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo Legacy Buckle Series Leaders!

What a way to close out the BPIR Legacy Tour in Atlanta! The competition was fierce from start to finish, with contestants battling for every point and every dollar. In one event, the difference between first and second place was an incredible $7.26 —proof that every ride, run, and second mattered.

Congratulations to all of our event leaders for your hard work, determination, and outstanding performances throughout the season. We salute every contestant who competed and gave it their all. This year's Los Angeles rodeo gave us another opportunity to celebrate the people whose unwavering love and commitment have helped shape the legacy of the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo.

A very special thank you to Actors, Producers Glynn Turman and Reginald T. Dorsey for serving as our Grand Marshals. For more than 40 years, both gentlemen have stood beside BPIR, not just as supporters, but as members of our extended family. Their dedication, encouragement, and belief in our mission to preserve and celebrate the legacy of Black cowboys and cowgirls have never wavered.

It was truly my honor to present each of them with a Certificate of Recognition in appreciation of their extraordinary commitment, steadfast friendship, and decades of involvement with the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo.

We also proudly celebrated Margo Wade LaDrew, our incredible Los Angeles Coordinator and Marketing/Partnership Director on her 30th Anniversary with BPIR. Margo's passion for this organization is evident in everything she does. Her dedication, loyalty, and tireless work have helped make the Los Angeles rodeo a tremendous success year after year. Through every challenge and every triumph, her love for BPIR has never wavered.
