Property rights and self-defense matter. Owners should not fear losing a loyal companion because it protected what belongs to them. The law should stand with the homeowner, not the thief.

Common sense says celebrate the protector and prosecute the criminal. Working dogs, whether family pets or K9s, should not be destroyed for doing exactly what they were meant to do.

Families stood there reading the names of husbands, wives, sons, and daughters murdered on September 11 while cameras caught two of New York’s most prominent officials smiling through it. That moment did not look like remembrance. It looked like they had forgotten who the day belongs to.

Mamdani showed up after tens of thousands of New Yorkers asked him to stay away. AOC stood beside him as if the reading of the dead were a social hour. If you cannot keep a straight face while the names of nearly three thousand innocents are spoken aloud, you do not belong anywhere near that memorial.

Public office is not a costume. It is a duty to honor the people who paid the highest price for this country. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker showed up in Dallas while Republicans gathered for their midterm convention—and he came ready to criticize them.

One year ago Charlie Kirk was murdered on a campus while doing the thing he built his life around: taking questions in public. He believed students could handle an argument. Someone answered that belief with a bullet.

He left a wife, two children, and a movement that did not disappear. The work continues because the point was never one microphone. It was the idea that young Americans still deserve debate instead of intimidation.

Honor him by showing up. Speak plainly. Refuse the lie that violence is just another form of politics. The only answer worthy of his name is more courage, not less.
