I’m extremely frustrated by what happened today.
Someone deliberately placed cinder blocks behind a political sign directly in front of my parking space, and as a result, my new Tesla Model 3 sustained significant damage.
As I pulled into the space as usual, I suddenly heard a loud impact. The blocks were positioned low enough that they were not visible from the driver’s seat until it was too late to avoid them.
This was not a harmless prank. It created a legitimate safety hazard that could have caused serious injury or a much more severe accident.
I’m now dealing with vehicle repairs, insurance claims, police documentation, and the unnecessary stress caused by someone else’s reckless behavior.
Law enforcement has already been contacted, and an official report has been filed. Incidents like this should not be dismissed or normalized as “jokes.”
Damaging property and intentionally creating dangerous situations is irresponsible and unacceptable. The moment someone else is left paying for damages or placed at risk, it stops being funny entirely.
If the individual responsible is identified, I fully intend to pursue legal action. Basic respect, accountability, and common sense should not be difficult standards to uphold.

Hot take: if you are placing “HH” stickers on your vehicle to vaguely reference hateful symbolism and then dismissing it as “just a joke,” you are not being edgy or clever — you are embarrassing yourself.
People are increasingly tired of obvious dog whistles being disguised as harmless humor or ironic shock value. Everyone understands the implication being hinted at, and pretending otherwise does not suddenly make it innocent or sophisticated.
There is nothing impressive about using one of history’s darkest eras as an attempt at attention-seeking comedy. Millions of people suffered under those ideologies, and countless others fought and died to stop them from spreading. That history is the reason many people react strongly when they see symbols or references associated with hate and extremism.
And frankly, those reactions are understandable.
The moment you choose to place something provocative on your vehicle for the public to see, you also accept that the public is going to form opinions about it. Freedom of expression does not exempt anyone from criticism or social consequences.
At some point, people need to mature beyond the mindset of saying offensive or inflammatory things purely for attention, reactions, or internet-style shock value. Public behavior still reflects character, judgment, and respect for the people around you.

To the individual who abandoned a shopping cart in the Walmart parking lot and allowed it to roll into my truck: your lack of consideration has now become someone else’s expensive problem.
When I returned to my vehicle and saw the cart resting against the side of it, I immediately suspected damage before I even got close enough to inspect it. Unfortunately, the result was exactly what I feared — visible scrape marks, dents along the side panel, and paint damage to the bumper, all caused by a cart that should have been returned properly in the first place.
Before anyone suggests that “the wind probably pushed it,” that does not remove responsibility from the person who left the cart unsecured. Leaving a heavy metal shopping cart loose in a crowded parking lot creates a risk to every vehicle around it. Returning it to the designated cart area takes only a few seconds, yet someone chose convenience over basic accountability.
What is most frustrating is how normalized this kind of careless behavior has become. Many people dismiss abandoned carts as harmless until their own vehicle is the one damaged. Parking lots are equipped with surveillance for situations exactly like this, and I fully intend to request a review of the footage because someone clearly walked away from that cart knowing it could become a problem for somebody else.
Respect for other people’s property should not be optional.
