🏳️‍⚧️ Community love isn’t only parades and headlines, it’s also:

- the stranger who smiled when you passed by complimenting their shirt.

- a friend checking in simply because they thought of you.

- the story you share that makes someone else feel less alone.

Even in the smallest gestures we can build a world where none of us have to face anything solo.

For months, our neighbor’s stalking and harassment kept me afraid to leave my own home. In August, that same neighbor broke my fiancée’s nose at Ralph’s in Hollywood. We realized justice or support wasn’t coming, and this wouldn’t stop until we made a change. Yesterday, we signed the lease for our first home together.

I want you to know that ever single one of us 🏳️‍⚧️ has a moment we thought we’d never get through, then somehow, here we are.

Your bounce-back doesn’t have to be loud fireworks. Sometimes it’s the quiet decision to get out of bed, send the text, or take a single step toward joy.

Despite being forced out by transphobic tenants and an unwilling landlord, we are beyond excited for this new chapter and so in love with our new home.

Drop a small win or turning point you’re proud of in the comments, someone out there needs to see proof that tomorrow can be lighter.

Researchers compared search volumes for terms like ‘shemale,’ ‘tranny,’ ‘femboy,’ and ‘ladyboy’ with 2020 presidential voting data and surveys on LGBT+ discrimination attitudes.

The maps and scatterplots show that metro areas that voted more heavily Republican, and those where residents were more supportive of allowing businesses to discriminate against LGBT people, tended to have proportionally more searches for transgender p**n keywords.

This pattern doesn’t prove that every Republican or conservative is secretly consuming this content, nor does it show hypocrisy at the individual level. It’s an area-level correlation, not a headcount of private behavior. But the findings highlight a revealing tension:

Regions driving anti-trans legislation and rhetoric are simultaneously among the top consumers of trans-related adult content.

Some days it’s exhausting being trans, not because of who I am, but because of the weight of other people’s projections. We’re blamed for problems we’re barely part of, painted as threats in crises we didn’t create. The data says otherwise, but statistics don’t always quiet the noise.

It stings to see our lives reduced to talking points, to feel like our humanity is up for debate while the real issues go unsolved. I’m proud of who I am, and I refuse to disappear to make others comfortable. But I’m also human, this hurts.

What keeps me going is knowing we’re more than the headlines and the hate. We are neighbors, creators, dreamers. We deserve a world that tells the truth about us and works for real solutions instead of scapegoats.

Since 2016, trans and non-binary people have been linked to just 0.11% of mass shootings, according to the Associated Press. That means 99.89% of these tragedies were committed by cisgender shooters.

Blaming trans people for a national gun violence crisis is not only dishonest, it’s a dangerous distraction. Political violence is unacceptable. Mass shootings are unacceptable.

The data is clear, and the cost of inaction is lives: we need meaningful, common-sense gun reform now.

According to the Associated Press, 0.11% of mass shootings involved someone trans or non-binary since 2016.

99.89% of mass shootings were committed by cisgender shooters.

Political violence is NEVER okay. Mass shootings are NEVER okay.

It is very clear that we need gun-control now.
