Just hop on a ferry from Circular Quay and in 20–30 minutes you’re in a whole new world—clear water, soft sand, chill vibes, and one of the best coastal walks in Australia.

Fun curiosity:
👉 The name “Manly” comes from Captain Arthur Phillip, who was impressed by the “manly behavior” of the local Aboriginal people—the word literally comes from his description!

🌊 Can you see all the jellyfish in the water?! 😳
I couldn’t believe it — I had only seen this online, but in Sydney… they’re REAL and there are a lot of them! Right there near the Opera House and Circular Quay. 🪼✨

But why so many?

Here’s the cool part 👇
🔹 Sydney Harbour is a perfect environment for jellyfish — calm waters, protected bays, and fewer strong waves keep them from drifting away.
🔹 Warmer temperatures in spring & summer make the water ideal for jellyfish blooms.
🔹 Plus, the harbour traps nutrients, which means more tiny organisms for jellyfish to feed on… and that attracts even more of them.

So yes — the jellyfish party in Sydney is REAL. 🤣🪼
