That year of 1999 changed my life. What was the name of that giant club in Dallas whereupon Wednesday nights the straight crowd piled in to mix it up with the regular residents of that haunt for a wild mid week party? In the fall of this first year I purchased my f

irst set of turntables, a mixer, first vinyl selections (Rabbit in the Moon, DJ Icey) and began my journey to become a DJ. I began with vinyl and (somehow) an immediate gig at a dank little country bar called "The Library" somewhere between Sherman and Denison, TX. I was (somehow) found and adopted by a group of local deep and disco house DJs in that remote environ... Andrew (Drew), Craig (High C), Ryan, Micah, Dave (Dirty Dave) - Thank you! How amazing to see you make drunk cowboys dance to house music. My nights at this time were also filled with DJ gigs at various student organization parties and other events at and around Austin College with other DJs - among them Andy (Ambushdrum), Desmond, Chris. Eventually we landed a job in Deep Ellum mixing in the side room of a club named Europa, and a swanky Lower Greenville bar (whose name is lost to me) - this was in 2004 and 2005. I've been dormant or mixing in the home studio only since those days - How amazing to revive and find so many amazing tracks. House music is better than ever. I love it.
