This week, my family is saying goodbye to someone far too young.
I’ve been traveling, grieving, and doing what I know best — serving and loving my people through it. 💛
When I decided years ago to set boundaries and limit contact with certain family members, I understood what came with that. I prepared my heart for the day I might get a call about an aunt, uncle, or even a sibling passing.
But our kids?
It never crossed my mind that the loss could come from the next generation.
Here’s what’s giving me peace:
I loved my family with verbs, not nouns.
I showed up. I gave. I forgave. I served.
That’s what love looks like in motion.
My boundaries remain, but the barriers? It’s time for them to come down. It’s time.
If you’re reading this, and there’s someone you’ve been meaning to call, forgive, or just remind that you love them — please do it today. Tomorrow is never promised, and love is the one thing we can never over-give.
Thank you all for your prayers and grace while I travel again this week to support my family. 🙏🏽
