Somebody really screen-recorded herself asking ChatGPT if my book and podcast were AI-written.

Then tried to use that as an exposé.

Baby… that is not an investigation.

That is obsession with Wi-Fi. 😂

So this week on Unbra’d & Unbothered, we’re talking about AI, entrepreneurship, originality, obsession, and the difference between using a tool and having a voice.

Because let’s be clear:

AI can help organize a sentence.

It cannot fake a soul.

It cannot live your life, survive your pain, raise your children, carry your testimony, build your brand, or create the fire that comes from actually walking through something.

Smart women use tools.

Strategic women learn systems.

Builders build.

Watchers watch.

And the same people trying to shame you for using resources are usually using their resources to study, stalk, and criticize you.

So yes, baby, use the tool.

Write the book.

Start the podcast.

Post the caption.

Build the brand.

Tell the story.

Just make sure it sounds like you.

Because in this next season, the real flex is not being watched.

It is being useful.

It is impact.

It is purpose.

It is helping another woman feel less alone and more capable.

AI can clean up the sentence…

but it cannot fake the soul.

New episode is live: AI Can’t Fake a Soul: Tools, Obsession & the Audacity of Building

Take the bra off.
Take the filter off.
And stop letting people who do not build shame you for using tools while you do.

Today, I’m holding space for the weight of what Memorial Day really means.

Not just a long weekend.
Not just sales, cookouts, or a day off.

But a day to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service — the ones who never made it back home to their mothers, their children, their spouses, their families, or the futures they were still building.

As a mom, that part hits different.
Because behind every uniform was somebody’s baby.
Somebody’s answered prayer.
Somebody’s whole world.

As a writer, I think about the stories they didn’t get to finish.

And as a podcaster, a woman rebuilding, and someone who believes deeply in legacy — I’m reminded that freedom is not casual. It is costly.

So today, I’m grateful.
I’m humbled.
And I’m praying for every family who carries a name, a memory, a folded flag, or an empty chair.

May we honor them not just with words, but with how we live.

Happy Memorial Day.
With respect, remembrance, and gratitude. 🇺🇸

The Season Tested Me. It Did Not Take Me.

Life has felt like a series of unfortunate events lately… but I refuse to let that make me pessimistic.

Because the truth is, sometimes alignment does not feel peaceful at first.

Sometimes it feels like stretching.
Sometimes it feels like being uncomfortable.
Sometimes it feels like doors closing, people shifting, and life forcing you to see what you’re really made of.

But I still believe this:

I am blessed beyond measure.
There are great things on the horizon.
And I am being positioned for rooms, opportunities, conversations, and assignments that are bigger than what I’ve survived.

This season may have tested me, but it did not take my faith.
It did not take my gratitude.
And it definitely did not take my expectation.

So to the woman who feels like life has been throwing hit after hit at her…

Please don’t confuse the pressure with punishment.

Sometimes pressure is preparation.

And sometimes the very thing that tried to break you is the thing that qualifies you for the next room.

Unbothered isn’t pretending life is easy.
It’s deciding life doesn’t get to make you bitter.

This is the Unbra’d & Unbothered energy in one sketch. 💋

Soft heart. Sharp mind. Big mouth. Kind soul.

This brand was built for the woman who is rebuilding her life while still showing up for everyone else.

The woman with big goals, real responsibilities, a little bit of chaos, and a whole lot of purpose.

The woman who is tired of shrinking, explaining, apologizing, and waiting for permission.

Unbra’d & Unbothered is more than a podcast.

It’s a reminder that you can be healing and still be powerful.
You can be starting over and still be ahead.
You can be soft and still have standards.
You can be messy in the middle and still be building something meaningful.

Around here, we laugh, we tell the truth, we rebuild, and we become completely unavailable for the life that almost broke us.

Unbothered isn’t a mood.
It’s a standard. 💋

Someone asked me the story behind my brand name…

And honestly, I laughed because I don’t think I had ever fully put it into words.

But the truth is, Unbra’d & Unbothered was born somewhere between motherhood, writing a book, surviving a hard season, laughing at myself, and learning that not everything deserves access to my peace.

The “unbra’d” part started as a joke.

I was at Flower Child in The Woodlands, waiting to pick up my son from school, working on a book that didn’t even have a title yet.

Side note: their salmon bowl with gluten-free mac and broccoli?

I would die for that bowl.

A woman complimented me when I walked in, and if you know me, you know I love women complimenting women. I love receiving it, and I love giving it right back.

So naturally, I complimented the young woman behind the counter.

She smiled, thanked me, and complimented me back.

I don’t remember exactly what she said.

But I do remember laughing and saying:

“Girl, it’s a good day if I actually put on a bra.”

And we both cracked up.

And there it was.

A joke, a truth, and apparently… a book title.

That one off-the-cuff moment became the title of my first book:

It’s A Good Day If I Put On A Bra!

But the “unbothered” part came from a much deeper place.

At the time, I was walking through a season where people were doing everything they could to provoke me, embarrass me, and pull me into chaos.

And I had to learn that being unbothered does not mean you don’t feel things.

It means you have a standard for how you respond.

It means every insult does not get an invitation.

Every attack does not become your assignment.

And every person committed to chaos does not get permission to control the temperature of your life.

So no, this brand wasn’t created in a boardroom.

It was created in real life.

In motherhood.

In survival.

In humor.

In healing.

In rebuilding.

And in the decision that my peace, my voice, and my future were worth protecting.

Unbothered isn’t a mood.

It’s a standard. 💋

Confidence didn’t come first.

The obedience did.
The discipline did.
The uncomfortable first steps did.

And then confidence started catching up.

That line is more than a quote — it’s the heart of so many women’s stories.

The woman starting over.
The woman rebuilding after burnout.
The woman who knows she has outgrown the life she’s been surviving in.
The woman who wants more, but keeps waiting to feel ready enough, qualified enough, polished enough, or confident enough.

But sometimes confidence doesn’t show up before the leap.

Sometimes it meets you after you finally start moving.

After the scary pivot.
After the first messy step.
After the uncomfortable yes.
After the hard season where nobody else can see what you’re building yet.

That is what Unbra’d & Unbothered is about.

Real stories.
Reinvention.
Resilience.
Starting over.
Learning to stop shrinking.
And building a life that actually feels like yours.

So if you’re waiting to feel confident before you begin, maybe this is your reminder:

Start scared.
Start imperfect.
Start with what you have.

The confidence can catch up. 💋

What’s one uncomfortable first step you took before you felt ready?

This is exactly why I created Unbra’d & Unbothered.

Because so many women are rebuilding their lives in silence.

They are raising children.
Working jobs.
Starting businesses.
Healing from things they don’t even have the words for yet.
Trying to figure out who they are after survival mode.

And from the outside, people just see them functioning.

But functioning is not the same as being fine.

Sometimes the strongest women you know are not “unbothered” because life has been easy.

They’re unbothered because they have finally learned what does and does not get access to their peace.

They have learned how to cry, wipe their face, get back up, and keep moving.

They have learned that reinvention is not always glamorous.

Sometimes it is gritty.
Sometimes it is lonely.
Sometimes it is quiet discipline.
Sometimes it is deciding, “I am not abandoning myself again.”

That is the conversation I want to keep having.

The real rebuild.

The part before the applause.
The part before the stage.
The part before the story makes sense to everybody else.

Because sometimes the most powerful material is not found in the highlight reel.

Sometimes it is found in the season you survived without an audience.

And that’s the kind of story worth telling.

Welcome to Unbra’d & Unbothered. 💋

A reminder from your favorite emotionally exhausted but evolving podcast host:

You are allowed to rebuild your life AND still enjoy it at the same time. 💋

Sometimes healing looks like therapy.
Sometimes it looks like boundaries.
Sometimes it looks like crying in a Target parking lot.

And sometimes…
it looks like booking a cruise, laughing too hard, taking car selfies, and making memories with people you genuinely adore.

Needless to say…
the cruise content is about to be unhinged in the best way possible. 😂💅

🎙️ Unbra’d & Unbothered

05/08/2026

There was a season of my life where I completely disappeared inside survival mode.

From the outside, I looked functional.
But internally, I was exhausted, emotionally drained, overwhelmed, and trying to hold together pieces of a life that no longer fit who I was becoming.

I went through heartbreak, betrayal, financial stress, identity loss, and moments where I genuinely questioned whether I would ever rebuild my confidence again.

But eventually something shifted.

I realized no relationship, opportunity, or amount of external validation was ever going to save me.

Only God could rebuild what life had broken in me.

My faith in Jesus Christ became the foundation for everything.

And slowly, piece by piece, I started rebuilding my life with God at the center of it.

That rebuilding became:
my voice,
my books,
my podcast,
my purpose,
and ultimately… Unbra’d & Unbothered.

This brand was never just about content.

It was about helping women realize they are not too broken, too late, too lost, or too far gone to become someone new.

Because I truly believe God still writes comeback stories. 💋
