These are 3 lies aspiring authors believe that stop them from ever writing their book:

1️⃣ “Nobody wants to read my story.”
The truth? Someone is praying for the clarity found in YOUR journey.

2️⃣ “I’m not a good writer.”
You don’t become a strong writer before you start — you become one by starting.

3️⃣ “It has to be perfect before I begin.”
Perfection is a trap. Progress is the goal.

Your story doesn’t need perfection — it needs obedience, courage, and intention.

Whatever lie has been holding you back, let this be your permission to move anyway.

If I could tell “first-time-writer me” ONE thing, it would be this:

👉🏽 You don’t need the perfect plan — you just need a starting point.

Here are 3 things I wish someone had told me at the beginning of my author journey:

1️⃣ Set clear goals and objectives.
Know WHY you’re writing and WHO you’re writing for — it’ll give you direction.

2️⃣ Interview at least 3 publishers or coaches.
Ask questions. Compare support. Your story deserves the right partnership.

3️⃣ Your first draft will be messy — and that’s normal.
Messy means you’re writing, growing, and figuring it out.

Looking back, I didn’t need perfection…
I needed clarity, courage, and a simple first step.

So if writing a book is on your heart, this is your sign:
Start where you are.
Start with what you have.
Start even if you’re scared.
