Twelve years ago, Mara Prose Publishing was nothing more than a simple blog idea and a woman with a dream bigger than her resources.
What started with writing evolved into becoming an author… then a self-published author… then into helping other indie authors avoid the same query-letter nightmares, rookie mistakes, awkward book signings, and painful learning curves I once experienced myself.
There were seasons where I failed quietly, questioned myself loudly, and still kept going anyway.
Now here I stand, attending national literary events, building a respected publishing brand, preparing to hire my first official team of editors, web designers, and social media coordinators because I’ve finally reached the point where I can no longer, and should no longer, do everything alone.
That realization alone is both humbling and empowering.
To my son Xavier, who has walked beside me through every chapter of this journey… thank you. You believed in me before the world understood the vision.
To my loyal “Prosers,” repeat clients, readers, supporters, and authors who trusted me with your stories, even waiting through this year’s hiatus to work with me exclusively, thank you from the depths of my heart. Your loyalty has never gone unnoticed.
Most importantly, I give all glory to God. Because there is absolutely no way I could have sustained this journey on my own strength.
I am humbled.
I am honored.
I am deeply grateful.
