POLL: 65% BLAME TRUMP FOR HIGH PRICES

A new AP-NORC poll released October 1 found that 65% of Americans say today's cost-of-living pain is a result of Trump's policies, as voter frustration over prices follows the president into the midterm campaign season.

Trump has repeatedly blamed the Biden administration, saying "I inherited that" on affordability, while pointing to energy costs driven by the Iran war and predicting gas prices will fall once the fighting ends.

The partisan split is sharp: 67% of Republicans said prices are driven by forces outside Trump's control. Democrats are leaning hard into the issue as they try to retake Congress in November.

FLY DUBAI PASSENGERS FOIL COCKPIT ATTACK

A Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight turned to chaos in the sky after the co-pilot allegedly attacked the pilot mid-flight, according to Israeli officials. Passengers and crew members jumped in to restrain him, and the aircraft diverted safely to Saudi Arabia.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the pilot's quick actions prevented "another 9/11," crediting the crew with stopping what could have become a mass-casualty disaster, according to reports.

Investigators are still working to determine a motive. Trump said Iran would be "hit very hard" if it was behind the attack, according to AP, as officials examined possible links.

60 MILLION KIDS AUTO-ENROLLED IN TRUMP ACCOUNTS

More than 60 million American children have been automatically enrolled in Trump Accounts, the new tax-advantaged investment program created under President Donald Trump's tax and spending law, the Treasury Department announced Thursday.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said more than 60 million additional eligible children now have an account ready to be claimed, a sharp jump from the 7 million to 8 million children signed up as of mid-September. Children born from 2025 through 2028 also qualify for a one-time $1,000 contribution from the federal government.

Parents and guardians still have to claim an account through the Trump Accounts app by verifying their identity and relationship to the child, and the Treasury Department said automatic enrollment alone does not trigger the $1,000 payment. Tech billionaire Michael Dell and his wife, Susan, have also committed $6.25 billion to provide $250 to qualifying children born from 2016 through 2024.

President Donald Trump weighed in on Tennessee's failed ex*****on of Christa Pike during his Texas trip on Thursday, sounding baffled that the lethal injection did not work as intended. Pike survived the attempt and is now hospitalized, according to her attorney.

"It shouldn't be very difficult," Trump said after turning to Rep. Ronny Jackson — his former White House physician — and asking how something like that could happen. Jackson agreed, telling the president it "should be easy to do."

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee called the episode "a tragedy" and paused all ex*****ons in the state for the rest of 2026, while Trump ally Senator Marsha Blackburn urged Tennessee to bring back the electric chair.

TRUMP BACKS KEN PAXTON'S SENATE BID DURING TEXAS CAMPAIGN STOP

President Donald Trump kicked off a 32-day midterm campaign blitz on Thursday with a stop in Denton, Texas, where he rallied support for Attorney General Ken Paxton in his Senate race against Democrat James Talarico.

Speaking at the Peterbilt Motors plant, Trump joked that Paxton could be a "pain" but told the crowd, "We got to get this guy elected," while touting what he said were 60,000 new manufacturing jobs added this year.

Bad weather then forced the president to travel nearly 100 miles by motorcade to a rally in Durant, Oklahoma, where he campaigned for gubernatorial candidate Mike Mazzei to close out the night.

TRUMP ALLIES DEMAND MRNA COVID VACCINE BAN AHEAD OF MIDTERMS

More than a hundred doctors, nurses, political figures and advocates have urged President Donald Trump to ban mRNA COVID vaccines, in a letter organized by the Texas-based Americans for Health Freedom group and reported by the Daily Mail on September 25.

The signatories — including Tucker Carlson, Republican Rep. Thomas Massie and former Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene — called for an immediate suspension of all mRNA-based technology, which includes COVID and newly approved mRNA flu vaccines. The letter, also sent to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., accused the president of having "failed" to act on mRNA vaccines.

The coalition warned that if the administration keeps ignoring their demand to remove the mRNA platform, the MAHA and health-freedom movements will withdraw their support ahead of the midterm elections. In response, an HHS spokeswoman said Kennedy believes mRNA products warrant heightened scrutiny, noting the department has wound down investments in mRNA vaccines for upper respiratory viruses.
