39 Huntington residents gathered at a public house on Main Street in 1826, just weeks before America’s 50th birthday, already deep in planning the celebration. 🗽

From cannon salutes to community gatherings, the spirit of patriotism and connection was alive even then. Today, that same pride continues to shape the traditions we share. 🎆

History has a way of repeating itself. 🔁

Meet Jupiter Hammon, a voice from history still echoing today. ✨

History, poetry, and community came together at Caumsett during Huntington Arts Week, where the Caumsett Foundation and the Huntington African American Museum honored his legacy. Through powerful modern performances, his words and story were brought to life for a new generation. 🎭

A meaningful celebration of the voices that continue to shape our community. 🌟

His story begins in Huntington, but it does not stay there for long. ✨

It takes him to Chicago, London, and New York City, where he builds a career, meets his wife Meredith, and starts a family. Over time, the journey circles back to where it all began. 🌍

Back in Huntington Bay, surrounded by family and community, Erik finds inspiration in both life and loss. That inspiration becomes Cold Storage, a novel centered on family, faith, and what truly matters. 💫

Some journeys take you far. The best ones bring you home. 🏡❤️

A fortune in crypto. A brother who vanished. A Holy Mountain in Greece. 📖

Billy’s story in Cold Storage is a gripping journey through mystery, faith, and family. What begins as a search for missing money quickly turns into something deeper, asking what truly matters when everything is on the line. ✨

A local story with powerful meaning that will stay with you. 🙌

Seventy-three works. Sixty-nine artists. One urgent question about what democracy means today. 🎨

The Heckscher Museum of Art presents Just Powers: Long Island Biennial 2026, inviting artists from across Nassau and Suffolk Counties to explore power, national ideals, and public life through their own lens. 🖌️

Selected from nearly 600 submissions, many featured artists are right here from the Huntington area, making this a deeply local and timely exhibition. 🏡

This is art with something real to say. 🖼️

Meet Erik Larson, whose story proves that sometimes the road leads you right back home. 🏡

After years of living abroad and in the city, Erik returned to Huntington Bay, drawn to its sense of community and history. Today, he and his family call a historic Locust Lane property home, blending the past and present as they build new memories. ✨

Through his writing and involvement in local causes, Erik continues to give back, turning life experiences into something meaningful for others. 🙌

Dr. Inna Gellerman arrived in Huntington and felt something she could not ignore. The warmth of the town drew her in, and she never left. 🦷

At Gellerman Orthodontics, what she created on Main Street is more than an office. It is a bright, welcoming space where kids, teens, and parents feel at ease and genuinely cared for. 🤗

Board-certified and selected by Invisalign to teach orthodontists nationwide, Dr. Gellerman brings that same level of excellence to every patient. 💫

Her commitment goes beyond her practice. From Pink Aid Long Island to the Heckscher Museum, she continues to give back to the community she calls home. 🌟

Step into history through the power of poetry. 📖

At Huntington Arts Week, the Caumsett Foundation partnered with the Huntington African American Museum to celebrate Jupiter Hammon, one of America’s first published Black poets. Through moving performances by contemporary poets, his story was reimagined for today while honoring his deep roots at the Henry Lloyd Manor. 🤗

A meaningful reminder of the voices that shaped our history and continue to inspire our community. ✨
