Meet Jenova, the manager of the Dollar General in Wimauma, Fl. Today, a woman, who spoke no English, was checking out in front of me and was $2 short. No more money. Jenova not only told her to forget about the $2, he took the $2 out of his own pocket and put it in the register ❤️ When my friend and I checked out, we each gave him a dollar and told him to put it back in his pocket!☺️ Good people still exist!

"On my way home from a 12 hour day of cutting lawns, I seen this gentleman, I have no clue who he is to this day. But I said no way was I gonna let this guy tackle this on his own. So I turned around and went back and unloaded my mower and drove across the street and ask the gentleman if I could help. His eyes lit up and I took that as a yes. I ran down, jumped on my mower and went to work. As I'm cutting the lawn I look over and see the gentleman hunched over his wife, resting his head on her shoulder. So I get it knocked out in no time. I give them a thumbs up and proceeded to load my mower up. The wife makes her way over before I could leave. She was so thankful! Their riding mower broke down and her husband has been mowing their big lawn with a push mower. It only took 15 mins of my time. I changed their life, for a small moment. I hope someone reads this and feels like doing something good for someone tomorrow. I'm grateful to be where I'm at and I'm thankful for the people that help me get here."

Would you like to have your faith in the human spirit restored? Would you like to hear about an amazing and selfless act of kindness?
Ruby and I were on the Southern State Parkway when it became obvious we had a flat tire. There's no shoulder on the side of that highway, so I pulled off onto the grass, and, almost immediately, a black Jeep pulled off the highway in front of us, just as I was looking for the phone number for AAA.
Then a young man wearing a yarmulke stepped out of the Jeep into the 96 degree heat and walked over to the passenger side window of my car. He said he had lots of tools in his car and could change my tire for me. Really? "Yes," he said. "I see you have a child in the back, and, if this happened to my mother, I'd like to think someone would do the same for her."
So, as he's changing the tire, we started chatting and he told me there's a group of people in his Orthodox Jewish community who do volunteer roadside assistance - for anyone and everyone. There's also a volunteer ambulance. I said, I never heard of such thing before. And he said, "yeah, you only hear the bad stuff about us."
He quickly and adeptly finished changing my tire, and, as I was thanking him profusely, I asked if there was anything I could do to thank him. He responded with a smile, "zero." I got back in the car, crying.
Ruby asked me why I was crying, and I said they were happy tears and tears of relief. So super scary to think how much worse the day could have been for us, and such an amazingly kind person who came to our rescue. That kid has his ticket to heaven written in stone.
If you've gotten this far in reading, please consider doing something kind for a stranger today - I know I will 💜

Mark Twain and his close companion, John T. Lewis, were captured standing side by side at Quarry Farm in Elmira, New York, back in 1903. Many have speculated that Lewis served as the inspiration for the character "Jim" in Twain's famous novel, "Huckleberry Finn."
John T. Lewis, born a freedman in Maryland in 1835, eventually settled in Elmira, NY. One fateful day, as he was returning from the market, his life took an unexpected turn. A carriage pulled by a runaway horse came hurtling down the road towards him, carrying three terrified women. Reacting swiftly, Lewis leaped from his wagon and managed to grasp the bridle, bringing the horse to a stop and saving the lives of the frightened passengers.
The women turned out to be the wife, daughter, and nurse of the wealthy Charles Langdon family, residents of Quarry Farm. As Charles Langdon was related to Samuel Clemens (known by his pen name, Mark Twain), the family was deeply grateful to Lewis for his heroic act. General Langdon presented Lewis with a generous check of one thousand dollars and later gifted him a gold watch engraved with a heartfelt message, commemorating the date of the brave rescue.
During this incident, Mark Twain happened to be visiting Quarry Farm and witnessed Lewis's heroism. In admiration and appreciation, Twain personally bestowed fifty dollars and a set of books with inscriptions to Lewis. With these gifts, Lewis was able to clear his entire sixty-four-acre farm. Furthermore, he became employed by the Langdons on Quarry Farm, strengthening his bond with Mark Twain.
This bond between Lewis and Twain grew into a close and enduring friendship that lasted for over three decades. The two were often photographed together, especially during Twain's visits to the Langdon residence, where he frequently engaged in his writing. Twain once expressed, "I have not known a honester man or a more respect-worthy one." when referring to his esteemed friend John T. Lewis.

"I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. Today I was driving to work and feeling sorry for myself and my imperfect life. And then I passed this woman - Janice. She was on the opposite side of the road dragging two ripped up suitcases that were almost as big as her and clearly heavy. I was 3 minutes from work and almost kept driving there. I didn't turn around the first chance I had, but I did turn around at the second chance, and I picked her up. She had been on the road for 4 days. She had left NY after losing her job as a packer for a cosmetic company and was on her way to Baltimore where her Auntie was going to get her a job as a cleaning lady. She had spent the night at Christiana Hospital because she has Congestive Heart Failure (she was lugging those heavy suitcases!!!) and had run out of meds. I took her to the Elkton Library where she was going to meet someone who could get her closer to Baltimore, handed her every dollar I had in my wallet ($32?), and gave her a hug. She smiled the entire trip and thanked me profusely. She never asked for anything. She wasn't thumbing for a ride. She wasn't feeling sorry for herself or for her situation in life. It was a huge reminder to be grateful for what I have because things could always be worse! 30 minutes late to work? I'll take it! Janice did way more for me than I did for her. "

Back in the day, Stallone was a struggling actor in every definition. At some point, he got so broke that he stole his wife’s jewelry and sold it. Things got so bad that he even ended up homeless. Yes, he slept at the New York bus station for 3 days. Unable to pay rent or afford food. His lowest point came when he tried to sell his dog at the liquor store to any stranger. He didn’t have money to feed the dog anymore. He sold it at $25 only. He says he walked away crying.
Two weeks later, he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the famous movie, ROCKY. He wrote the script for 20 hours! He tried to sell it and got an offer for $125,000 for the script. But he had just ONE REQUEST. He wanted to STAR in the movie. He wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR, Rocky himself. But the studio said NO. They wanted a REAL STAR.
They said he “Looked funny and talked funny”. He left with his script. A few weeks later, the studio offered him $250,000 for the script. He refused. They even offered $350,000. He still refused. They wanted his movie, but NOT him. He said NO. He had to be IN THAT MOVIE.
After a while, the studio agreed, gave him $35,000 for the script and let him star in it! The rest is history! The movie won Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing at the prestigious Oscar Awards. He was even nominated for BEST ACTOR! The Movie ROCKY was even inducted into the American National Film Registry as one of the greatest movies ever!
NO ONE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EXCEPT YOURSELF! People will judge you by HOW you look. And by WHAT you have. But Fight on! Fight for Your place in history. Fight for your glory. NEVER EVER GIVE UP!
Even if it means selling all your clothes and sleeping with the dogs, IT’S OKAY! But AS LONG AS YOU ARE STILL ALIVE, Your STORY IS NOT OVER.
Keep Up the Fight. Keep your dreams and hope alive. Go get it !!!

P.S. After the movie came out he tracked down the guy who bought his dog and bought it back for 10k.

After losing his parents, Suryia, a 3-year-old orangutan, was so depressed he wouldn't eat and didn't respond to medical treatment. The vets thought he may die from sadness.
The zookeepers found an old sick dog named Roscoe on the grounds in the park at the zoo where the orangutan lived and took the dog to the animal treatment center. The dog arrived at the same time the orangutan was there being treated...
The two lost souls met and have been inseparable ever since.
The orangutan found a new reason to live, and each of them always tries his best to be a good companion to his newfound friend.
They are together 24 hours a day in all their activities. They live in Northern California, where swimming is their favorite pastime.
Although, Suryia (the orangutan) is a little afraid of the water and needs his friend's help to swim. Together they have discovered the joy and laughter in life and the value of friendship. ♥️🐾 .

We were adopted by a cat who I suspect was thrown out of a car window and ended up in our yard out in the boonies. My husband was NOT a cat person, but this feline knew who to suck up to - and my husband was soon hooked. He had cancer, and Smokey was his constant companion for the last couple of years of his fight. The SECOND he would sit down, Smokey would be on his lap, cuddled on his chest, and fast asleep. He often said, “God really gave us a wonderful gift when He brought Smokey into our lives!” Smokey was with him almost every minute when my husband finally went into Home Hospice Care and, although I was just feet away when he died, I’m sure our precious kitty was right with him, comforting him to the moment of death. I took this photo just a couple of days before his death, at a point when he was not communicating with humans anymore - but would still love and cuddle with his precious
cat.

"I am a white woman and although I did not give birth to this man, he is my son. He has been my son for 14 years. I love him like I birthed him.
My biological children grew up with him as their brother. He lived in my house. I would trust him with my life and he would trust me with his.
I have watched him been treated unfairly... because of the color of his skin. I have seen him be falsely accused... because of the color of his skin.
I will stand for him. I will fight for him. I will protect him to the best of my ability, and if I'm honest... I would want to hurt anyone who tried to hurt him.
I will never know what it is like to have brown or black skin but I do know what it is like to be a white woman who loves someone fiercely who has brown or black skin. And I know what it is like to pray every day that it will not be his last."

It's funny how a farmer spends countless hours getting land ready, from disking all the way to planting. He spends $1000's of dollars on fuel, equipment, and repair bills. He spends many hours praying for rain or sunshine instead of sleeping. He sweats like no other job will make you. He works like most people wouldn't. He gets yelled at and cussed out by people that get caught behind the tractor traveling down the road, and he spends many times of the day wondering if it's worth it! The deer, coyotes, hogs, c***s, gophers, grasshoppers are just a few pests to contend with!! He does all of this for what??? Ask yourself, "Why would he do that?" The answers are all around you.. The plate of food sitting in front of you, the clothes on your back, the shoes on your feet, and the last answer is the is the one that puzzles most people. It's the dust, love for agriculture, and the satisfaction knowing he done his part at the end of the day! I'd like to thank all the farmers out there that help make the world go round!
