In the early 1960s, Pontiac’s John Z. DeLorean envisioned a rebellious new kind of performance car, one that blended sleek styling
with raw American horsepower. The result was the Pontiac GTO, short for “Gran Turismo Omologato”, a name borrowed from
European racing homologation rules but built for American streets.
This 1966 GTO carries all the iconic style of its era while packing modernized muscle under the hood. Its built 400 cubic-inch Pontiac
V8 delivers well over 500 horsepower, paired with GM’s bulletproof TH400 transmission and a 4.11 Safe-T-Track rear end. While it
looks like a stock GTO with its Cameo Ivory finish, Dark Turquoise interior, rally wheels, and white-letter tires, the moment you
turn the key it reveals its true nature—a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
