I’m just getting home from my 3rd Women’s PaddleFest, and after showing up as my most vulnerable self in stories and in person, I thought it deserved a permanent spot on my feed.

When invited me to choose swimwear for the summer, I was super nervous to say yes.

This body has carried me through a marathon, adventures, and motherhood. It has given life to three amazing boys and done more than I ever imagined, yet I still find myself caught in that space of wishing it looked different.

This weekend, I chose gratitude over criticism. Every line, stretch mark, and yes, even my mommy pooch, tells the story of a life fully lived. I’m grateful for another day on the water and the opportunity to help lead and encourage women from across the Southeast.

Thanks to , I stepped back into a two-piece, and I’m so glad I did. The Whitecap Top and Wahine Board Shorts made me feel supported, comfortable, and ready to grab my SUP and paddle.

I left this weekend with so much more than memories. Learning to give myself more grace and celebrate all my body has carried me through is high on that list. ❤️

I love when these memories pop up, reminding me of all the moments we’ve shared with the boys. So much has changed over the years. Four years ago when shooting for ,they wanted to spend every second outside. These days, the story is a bit different. But the reason I started this page, and eventually Black Kids Adventures, remains the same.

Whether you’ve been here for a while or are new, I hope somewhere through these squares you catch a glimpse of something that matters to you….family, adventure, history, connection, trying something new, or simply making memories with the people you love.
