❄️ LOCKED IN: Winter Isn’t Going Anywhere! ❄️
A parade of Alberta Clippers continues to rush across the Great Lakes, locking in more rounds of cold and snow. Toledo is already experiencing one of its Top 10 coldest starts to December on record, and winter is showing no signs of slowing down.

But the weather is always a balancing act…
As the third Clipper of the week dives through and delivers another surge of frigid air to the Great Lakes and East Coast, the opposite is happening out west — where temperatures will run well above average across much of the western United States.

Winter here. Warmth there. A classic coast-to-coast contrast.

Peoria is off to its 12th coldest December since records began in 1883 — and the deep freeze is only getting started.
Through just the first 7 days, temperatures averaged 21.5°, nearly 13° below normal. A small warm-up arrives Tuesday, but more arctic air is expected late week, which could push temperatures even lower by early next week.

But the timing keeps sliding… what was the 15th now looks more like the 17th–20th. This cold pattern has been tougher and more persistent than expected. 🥶💨

A short mild stretch around Christmas week is possible, but longer-range signals show colder air may return afterward… maybe even in time for Christmas. 🎄❄️
