I've watched the section on identifying our finish. Can anyone please point me to how to CLEAN each of our antique pieces if we're not looking to refinish them? We love the look of the old pieces as they are but they do need to be cleaned up a bit.

Hi! I bought these two rustic night stands at a garage sale. They are made from solid wood, some kind of aromatic variety, maybe teak or sheesham. I love them, but I’m thinking of doing some light restoration on them to remove water marks. I’m not sure if I should attempt to fill the cracks on top of them. I don’t have much experience with this. Any suggestions for how to gently restore them while retaining their rustic look would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm getting this antique chair and want to fix it. I wonder if I can repair and refinish the seat portion or if it's best to make a new seat. I read to use wood glue and clamps but that was just for one split, and this obviously has many. I honestly don’t know where to begin, as I havent glued furniture beyond loose joints/dowels. Thanks!

Hi, I am having trouble with my wooden bed. In the photo you can see the inside of one of the two wooden side panels that connect to the headboard and you can see two large circular holes that the bolts go into. The original hardware got lost during a move and a handyman put the bed together. The bed feels loose and squeaks and I am not able to tighten the nuts any further because the nuts have sunken into the wood due to being tightened without the original hardware. What hardware am I missing that is supposed to go into these circular holes?

I have stripped the white paint off from an old pottery barn table. This is my first time stripping. I have some spots where the paint seems to be in grooves of the wood. The picture has not been sanded yet. I plan to seal the wood natural since I feel its beautiful color. Do I need to worry about what doesn’t come out when I am done sanding? If I do how do I get it out any suggestions are appreciated thanks in advance

Looking for stain recommendations to update our 25 yr old bedroom set. It is hardwood but I don’t recall which, maybe rustic Alder or Hickory? I don’t want a dark finish but am tired of the yellow/orange tone. Adding my dresser and a very similar one. I like the lighter version or possibly a light-medium brown. Also any thoughts where to look for drawer pulls that may work lengthwise with the existing holes? Appreciate any thoughts knowing stain color will vary by wood type..

Is this washer shot or can this be cleaned?
I have a water inlet valve coming in that I'm getting replaced for $400. Very high I know, but this is 2 in 1 stacked unit. So, replacing the washer also means replacing the dryer. I have a tenant who is also complaining about rust in the drum of washer. (Presumably from the water going into the washer before). So, before I spend the money on the valve I'm wondering if I can get the rust taken care of.

Does the unit need to be replaced or can it simply be washed out with vinegar and lemon juice or CLR in a cycle? She's honestly quite rude, but I want to be fair in how we approach it. In the pictures I see very small amounts of rust coming through the holes in the bottom few inches of the drum.

Cobbler laughed my mom out of the store. Can these be salvaged?
These Steve Maddens were my mom’s favorite shoes until they cracked like this. She says the cobbler just laughed at her when she took them in, but is there any possible way to fix these? I’d be willing to pay a pretty penny for it, I’d like to fix them as a gift.
