Self Care!
Self Care is so important and even more important when you go through health challenges. Your body gets extremely stressed, even if perhaps you’re not feeling stressed out. I had that stress, and even though I’m not receiving chemotherapy for my Breast Cancer, the stress on my body has caused my hair to thin.
My double mastectomy was on May 20th and up until now, I have had Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome since. Just about every 3-7 days, I would have extreme vomiting episodes that would usually last at least 1 day-3 days. I have finally found an anti-emetic medication that is helping, so I haven’t vomited in over 9 days!!! I’m so happy.
So, in celebration, I’m starting over my self care. I was too sick to stick with it before. I am using a red light mask and a belt that I place on top of my head to heal my scalp and activate hair growth. I also use red light therapy on my chest to help heal my scars from the incisions. You have to do this daily or you won’t see the benefits. So, a daily 15 minutes of relaxation will help and not hurt you.
If you want to try it, I can tell you what brand I bought. It’s not expensive and I love how they are both working.
Do you have either of these?
