NEW: Shelbyville Mayor Scott Furgeson was caught on camera insulting his own constituents and insinuating that everyone with “No Data Centers” signs in their yards were poor renters living in “sh***y houses.”

The mayor issued a response to the outrage, saying he “regrets that his choice of words may have caused offense.” Though he did not apologize.
