“The days that felt so long, yet so full all at the same time.”

I didn’t know at the time that my last baby would be my last. Those late nights with little sleep. The days that felt so long, yet so full all at the same time. The pain that came with trying to breastfeed and wanting so badly for it to work. Learning who was truly there for you in moments that fe...

There were people speaking different languages and of different sexual orientations. Some were dressed up, and others were dressed down. The faces were of different races and ethnicities. Some people were alone while others were laughing in groups. A few folks just passed through briefly, grabbing a coffee to go on their way to the next spot.

I sat there thinking: Isn’t this exactly what life is supposed to look like?

You will never convince me that experiences like this - being in a place filled with people of all faiths, skin colors, backgrounds, and experiences - are a threat to America's greatness. They are the absolute definition of it.

As Father’s Day approaches, let’s go beyond the materialistic and honor the fathers in our lives by offering these meaningful and heartfelt gifts that genuinely celebrate their love, dedication, and importance in our lives.

This will be my husband's fourth Father's Day. I generally gift him socks with a hilarious picture of our girls' faces on them. It's become such a fun tradition. So, while I'll be sure to get those, I also want to get him something more heartfelt and less tangible.

“As a parent, I left feeling inspired and in search of even more ways to infuse a love of sports and culture into the lives of my own children back home. While I’m definitely not the most sporty mom, the experience made me feel more connected to athletics in a real way.”

With tickets at an all-time high, families can still enjoy celebrating the matches at home.

Does my husband always parent our daughter the same way I would? No, of course not, but that does not take away from his effectiveness.

When I overheard my husband parenting my daughter, I thought that we may not realize how much we can learn from the fathers of our children.

The goal of learning is never to just gather information and then return to life as usual, but to let what we have learned shape and impact us and how we show up in our lives and communities. But I think many of us get stuck here. We are so afraid of getting it wrong that we end up doing nothing at all. Or we take a small step forward, fumble, and decide it feels safer to disengage. But we cannot let fear of imperfection keep us frozen.

I have learned that racism is rarely just an isolated moment; for many people, it is the undercurrent of their lives.

It’s all fun and games until the kids start crying. 🤣
