Lessons I’ve learned along the way as a young homemaker! 📝
1.) What a homemaker REALLY is: Someone who manages a home with intention. Social media is good at showing one time of homemaker, but lacks greatly in showing the diversity.
2.) Homemaking isn’t “easy work”: Homemaking takes a toll mentally and physically! Early morning, late nights, and everything in between.
3.) Homemaking is more than just aesthetics: An aesthetically pleasing home is one thing, but a clean, sanitized, and disinfected home is a necessity. The best homemakers don’t just know it, they prioritize it.
4.) You’re not born into homemaking: Homemaking is a collection of trained skills. Hobbies such as cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, etc. are honed so they can be useful for the home.
5.) Homemaking doesn’t have to be a one person operation: Experienced homemakers learn to delegate and manage. Not only does this reduce burnout, but it also trains the other household members to be independent.
What other homemaking lessons have you learned along the way?
